Turkey burgers have become one of my favorite meals ever! These are so full of flavour i just love them.
I buy around 8oz turkey mince, the one with the least fat as possible, organic free range is preferable if you have somewhere that does it, we are still looking in our area, we can only get the good stuff near Christmas time and it not minced so we get the best we can from the supermarketm I make two at a time so i have one for the next day or freeze it for another day.
I use MSK seasoning, they aren’t around anymore but i hear another company has taken over so I’m hoping they launch before i run out! But you could use your own mix of seasoning or herbs.
We managed to pick up a cool burger shaper but you can easily shape just with your hands.
I use a cast iron gridle pan to cook them, and also to warm the other one up when i have it too. I usually have thrm eith a sandwich thin which we freeze, they defrost really quickly on the side of the pan and then can be put in if you like them toasted.. I do! 🙂
8oz turkey mince
1/2 small onion
1 tablespoon seasoning or to taste
Set the griddle pan on the hob to heat up.
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
Half mixture to make two burger patties.
Place in pan and cook through. Usually takes between 10-15 minutes, check the middle is cooked through using the tip of a knife to make a small cut.
Serve on a English muffin or sandwich thin with a salad.
